Come close out the summer with us, as we host Church in the Park! Instead of our normal two Sunday services, we will have one large service at 10 am.
Here are some reminders and instructions to help make this a safe and enjoyable time for all:
Please arrive early to make parking run more smoothly. For those who are able, please park in the parking lot and walk to the park.
Please bring lawn chairs and blankets. We will have some seating available, but it will be limited.
Communion will be prepackaged. Please look for the communion stations and pick up your communion before the service begins as we won't be passing out communion during the service. We will then take communion together as a church at the appropriate time.
Remember to check the weather in advance and prepare accordingly. The mornings can be quite chilly this time of year, but it usually warms up by noon.
We will have kids' activities available courtesy of our CCKids Ministry. Please be sure to pick them up before service begins. Feel free to bring additional quiet activities for your kids to enjoy.
Please keep children with you during this service so they can participate in worship with you. The service will be shorter than usual;)
To celebrate our 130th anniversary as a church, we will take an all-church group photo in front of our building. We will enjoy a BBQ together immediately after taking the photo.
During the BBQ, there will be several activities and places for kids to play, but parents are expected to supervise their own children.
Restrooms are available at the park, but if you prefer to use the church restrooms, please enter the building by the courtyard entrance that faces 4th Street.
Please bring your own coffee as we will not be providing coffee service this Sunday
Lastly, don't forget to invite a friend! This will be a great time for those curious about Christianity to see what church is like without having to actually enter a church building. As we do every Sunday, the gospel will be preached, and God will be glorified, so mark your calendars!
